i knew there was something i wanted to mention saturday. we went to see my grandparents on saturday and i took a route that we had never gone on. mainly because i get frustrated on 135th street. too many stoplights and i always end up getting stuck behind some nimrod going 30. the speed limit is 45, which means i like to go 50. anyway, it turns out shayna had never been on a wooden bridge before. much less a one lane wooden bridge. i'm pretty sure i scared the crap out of her going over it. there's pictures here if you want to see it. i thought all the wooden bridges were gone. guess not.

ah labor day weekend. the official end to summer. i dunno, maybe next weekend will be the end of summer. speaking of which, shayna and i are plotting to take one of our elder's handicapped stickers with us, that way we can go in the close entrance. also, i was going through the website for this festival type thing, and it says, and i quote "NO SMOKING – this is a non-smoking facility." jigga what? it's in a park! outside even! california is ridiculous. oh well, should be fun! we're off as of thursday!
