so i started my new job today...sort of. all i did was take a personality test and then she showed me around the pc system. i was out of there by 10:30. on a brighter note, i got my drivers license back today! let this be a lesson to all of you would-be drunk drivers. get the dui, not only do you have the stiff fine (over $500), but it cost me ONE HUNDRED THIRTY NINE dollars to get the thing reinstated. a very expensive lesson it is. anyway, that's all, i'm off to bed. gotta work tomorrow y'know!

*sigh* i start my new job tomorrow. i always get antsy before i start a new one. the one about this one is, there's only two other people in the office and i've met them, so it makes a little easier, but still, it feels like the first day of school. i'm more nervous about the drive. this is the furthest i've ever had to drive for a job. all my other ones were less than 15 min away, and it was only that long if i had to stop at every light. i'm also kind of worried about how my car will react to the driving. it's about 29 miles each way, so that's 60 a day. times 5 is 300 miles a week. right now, my car is used to doing that in about 3 weeks. now of course i know it's time to start thinking about a new car, but that's hard to do coming off of what i am right now. heh, i bet i'm gonna have to ask my parents for a car loan. at least i'm not like my brother and go out and get an suv that i can't afford. anyway, that's all for now. wish me luck on tomorrow. :)

and with a new job. well, not completely, but for the most part. it's with state farm, and i'll be pretty much an account manager. that means if an existing policyholder calls up or walks in, whatever, i say "hey, i see you don't have renter's insurance, who's your renter's through" and so on. the best part, the lady i'm working for, she's going to PAY for me to get my licensing. right on. this is just what i wanted to do! i'm so excited! i start april 30. during that week she just wants to check and make sure everything's kosher and i'm cool - which i know i will be of course! so, this means shoreline's on! might be kinda tight, but i'll be able to go!

have you ever felt like your life is falling apart at the seams. that's how i feel right now. i haven't heard back from the appleone people yet about the underwriting assistant job yet and i'm just feeling like such a failure. everything was going along nicely, then i lose my job, and everything goes to hell. i'm just in a...i hate my life mode right now. i have no idea what to do. gahhh. and knowing that i won't be going to a job on monday like i was hoping for makes it worse. i guess i'll go to bed, or something.

latest on the jobfront. just got back from appleone and the gal who interviewed me was talking about an underwriting assistant position. "perfect!!!!!" she's sending my resume to the folks tomorrow and i should hear from her either tomorrow or friday at the latest! ooh i hope i get that one. so perfect perfect.

and i hope i can start monday. funds are going quickly. that's all for now. have a good one people!!!!!!!!!!
